History

The origins of the CAFSA Financial Group date back to 1968, where the process began with the creation of the company Financiera CAFSA SA, a pioneer in providing financing services, under the clothing discount scheme. This became a Financial Group in 2001, when it was decided to complement financing services through collateral loans and operating lease contracts.

In 2002, it managed to become the first non-banking financial entity to receive a loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration. Additionally, we have Lines of Credit with the Inter-American Investment Corporation and the Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG), among others.

Financiera CAFSA and Arrendadora CAFSA were accredited by the Development Banking System to be able to operate funds in the microentrepreneur segment under the figure of collateral loans as well as to offer Operating Leases for this segment.

CAFSA is under the supervision of the General Superintendence of Financial Entities of the Republic of Costa Rica (SUGEF). Therefore, our securities can be traded through the National Stock Exchange.

On the other hand, we maintain a strategic relationship with the vehicle dealers with whom we work. Our team is made up of professionals who combine the best experience in the Financial and Automotive sectors.

For all of the above, CAFSA has been characterized in recent years as one of the most profitable and efficient companies in the Costa Rican financial system.
